The Process

Every Step, Explained

This process can look different from client to client, but here's a typical walkthrough of what to expect when you choose Clarity Assessments.

Step 01
15 minutes

Free Discovery Call

Your journey begins with a free, no-obligation phone consultation. We'll listen to your concerns, answer your initial questions, and help determine whether an evaluation is the right next step for your child. This is your chance to get to know us before making any commitment.

Share your concerns about your child's development or behavior
Learn which evaluation type may be the best fit
Ask any questions about the process, timeline, or cost
No pressure — just a conversation to see if we're the right match
Step 02
1–2 hours

Intake Session

The intake session is where Dr. Wolf meets with parents and/or caregivers to gather comprehensive background information and history. This is a deep-dive conversation to fully understand your concerns, your child's developmental history, and — just as importantly — your child's strengths. This information is essential for developing the best plan for testing day.

Detailed developmental, medical, and family history
Discussion of your specific concerns and observations
Review of any previous evaluations, school records, or IEPs
Understanding your child's strengths, interests, and personality
Developing a customized testing plan tailored to your child

A $500 deposit is collected when scheduling this appointment. Bring any previous evaluations, school records, and relevant medical records.

Step 03
2–6 hours

Testing Day

This is where the real discovery happens. Dr. Wolf works one-on-one with your child through a series of carefully selected assessments. Most involve a combination of memory "games," puzzles, and play-based activities designed to assess how your child thinks, learns, and processes information. For children where academics are a concern or giftedness is in question, the assessment will include more traditional paper-and-pencil work in areas like math, reading, and writing.

Gold-standard tools including ADOS-2, WISC-V, and more
Activities feel like games — most kids enjoy the process
Breaks taken whenever your child needs them
Parents complete assessments on a tablet while testing occurs
Pace adjusted to your child's comfort and energy level

School or daycare observations and teacher assessments may also be included to provide a comprehensive view of your child's behavior across settings.

Step 04
1–2 weeks

Analysis & Report Writing

After testing day, Dr. Wolf carefully analyzes all the data collected — from the intake session, testing results, parent questionnaires, and any school observations or teacher input. She formulates clinical impressions around specific diagnoses, ruling conditions in and out based on the full picture. The result is a comprehensive written report with all data, results, and tailored, individualized recommendations.

Thorough analysis of all assessment data and observations
Clinical impressions with diagnoses ruled in or out
Detailed written report (8–25 pages depending on evaluation type)
Individualized recommendations for home, school, and therapy
Clear, plain-language explanations — not clinical jargon
Step 05
1–2 hours

Feedback Session

This is the moment everything comes together. Dr. Wolf walks you through every finding, explains what the data means in practical terms, and answers all your questions. You'll leave with a clear understanding of your child's unique profile — their strengths, challenges, and exactly what to do next. You'll receive your written report within 24 hours of this session.

Review all results and diagnostic impressions together
Understand your child's strengths and areas of need
Discuss specific, actionable recommendations
Plan next steps for school, home, and therapy
All questions answered in clear, understandable language

The remaining balance is due at this session. Payment plans are available.

Step 06
30 minutes

30-Day Follow-Up

Your evaluation doesn't end with the feedback session. Dr. Wolf offers a complimentary 30-minute follow-up consultation within 30 days. This gives you time to digest the information, begin implementing recommendations, and come back with any new questions. She's here to help you navigate those next steps and ensure your family feels supported.

Ask follow-up questions as you process the information
Discuss how recommendations are working in practice
Troubleshoot any challenges with implementation
Get guidance on school communication or IEP planning
Referrals to therapists, tutors, or specialists as needed
